Electrical Equipment and Appliances

We cannot accept any items covered by the WEEE regulations. This includes electronics and large household appliances like fridges, freezers and televisions, which require specialised processing. Take them to a designated recycling site or a retailer take-back scheme.

Large Batteries

Vehicle and industrial batteries contain hazardous corrosive acids that must go through dedicated recycling channels rather than standard waste streams. Mixing them with general waste poses severe environmental and fire risks.

Gas Cylinders

Pressurised canisters and gas cylinders present a major explosion hazard during transport and disposal, so they are strictly prohibited from our skips. Check whether the original supplier collects old and empty cylinders, or ask Lambeth Council about safe disposal options.

Medical Waste

Bio-hazardous materials and clinical items, such as used syringes or expired medications, are excluded from our services. They must be handled by a licensed clinical waste contractor to protect public health and the environment.

Asbestos

This dangerous, carcinogenic material requires licensed specialists and strict containment protocols, and it must never be disposed of with general waste. Our skip hire in Stockwell doesn't collect any waste that contains asbestos - use a licensed asbestos removal contractor.

Tyres

Tyres are banned from landfill in the UK, so they cannot be disposed of with other waste. Take them to a specialised tyre recycling facility or local collection point - some tyre retailers and garages collect them as well.

Fuel, Solvents, and Paints

Liquid chemicals, fuels and paint tins pose severe environmental and fire hazards and can leak during transport, so they are banned from our skips. Take them to a licensed disposal facility - Lambeth Council can advise on the nearest site.

8 YARD SKIP

Capacity: approx. 6 m³ (around 60-70 standard bin bags)

Max load: up to 8 tonnes

Best for: domestic renovations, garden landscaping, office clearances and heavy waste such as soil and rubble.

Our most compact option - it fits on most driveways.

12 YARD SKIP

Capacity: approx. 9 m³ (around 80-100 standard bin bags)

Max load: up to 7 tonnes

Best for: bulky items and lighter clear-outs, such as old furniture, light timber and commercial office clearances.

Not suitable for filling entirely with rubble or soil - choose the 8-yard skip for heavy waste.

16 YARD SKIP

Capacity: approx. 12 m³ (around 120-130 standard bin bags)

Max load: up to 7 tonnes

Best for: major domestic and commercial renovations and large sites with high volumes of light, bulky waste.

Fewer containers and fewer collections, which helps reduce costs.

Choose Skip Hire when...

• You have a large or multi-day project, such as a renovation or building work.
• You want to load waste at your own pace, over up to 14 days.
• You have space for a skip - a driveway, or a public road where we can arrange a permit.
• You are clearing heavier waste such as soil, rubble or construction materials.

Choose Rubbish Removal when...

• Access is limited - no driveway, a skip lorry can't fit, or a permit is not possible.
• You need a one-off, same-day clearance rather than an ongoing skip.
• Our cage van handles it: 1 tonne loading capacity, or up to 5 tonnes with the large cage.
• It is a wait-and-load service - your waste is loaded within a standard 30-minute window, so please have it ready and accessible.
