Medical Waste
Medical and clinical waste is not allowed in a skip. This includes needles, syringes, soiled dressings and pharmaceutical waste, all of which carry an infection risk to our drivers and sorting staff. It must be handled by a licensed clinical waste contractor, and unused medicines can be returned to a pharmacy.
Asbestos
Asbestos is an extremely hazardous material linked to serious lung disease and cancer, and it is illegal to mix it with general rubbish.
