B&K Skip Hire Hampton

B&K Ltd provides skip hire and rubbish removal across Hampton, with same or next-day delivery available. Skip sizes from 8 to 16 yards, prices from £337.50 + VAT - call +44 20 8839 3147 or book online.

B&K offers professional skip hire and rubbish removal for domestic and commercial customers throughout Hampton and the TW12 area. Established in 2004, we have over two decades of experience handling waste for homeowners, builders and local businesses. Our skips take general household waste, wood, hardcore, soil, scrap metal, paper, gypsum, garden rubbish and plastic.

As a licensed waste carrier registered with the Environment Agency, we handle every load in line with environmental protection law - and 98% of what we receive is recycled rather than sent to landfill. If your skip needs to go on a public road rather than a driveway, a council permit is required and B&K arranges it on your behalf.

Prohibited Waste Materials for Skip Hire

Electrical Equipment and Appliances

Items classified as WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) cannot be placed in a skip. This includes fridges, freezers, microwaves, computers and televisions, which contain heavy metals and refrigerant gases needing specialist treatment. Take them to a household recycling centre or use a retailer take-back scheme.

Large Batteries

Car batteries and large industrial batteries are prohibited. They contain lead and acid that can leak in transit, contaminating the whole load and making it hazardous. Garages, scrap metal merchants and recycling centres accept them, usually free of charge.

Gas Cylinders

Gas cylinders, full or empty, are not accepted. They stay pressurised and combustible, creating a risk of fire or explosion in transit and at the transfer station - even an apparently empty cylinder holds residual gas. Return them to the original supplier for refilling or decommissioning.

Medical Waste

Medical and clinical waste such as needles, syringes, soiled dressings and pharmaceutical waste is strictly forbidden. It carries an infection risk to our drivers and sorting staff, so it must be handled by a licensed clinical waste contractor. Unused medicines can be returned to a pharmacy.

Asbestos

Asbestos is an extremely hazardous material linked to serious lung disease and cancer, and it is illegal to mix it with general rubbish. Older Hampton properties can still contain it in garage roofs, soffits and floor tiles. B&K does not remove asbestos - you will need a licensed asbestos removal contractor.

Tyres

Old tyres cannot go in our skips. They are banned from landfill, need a dedicated recycling route and are bulky enough to damage sorting machinery. Take them to a registered tyre recycling facility, or leave them with a tyre fitter when you buy replacements.

Fuel, Solvents, and Paints

Liquids such as fuel, solvents, paints and oils are not allowed. They are flammable, toxic or polluting, and can ignite in transit or contaminate groundwater if they leak. Your local council's hazardous waste service will take them - fully hardened, dried-out paint tins are usually accepted at a recycling centre.

Skip Hire vs Rubbish Removal - Which Do You Need?

B&K offers both skip hire and rubbish removal in Hampton. The right choice depends on your project, how much space you have and how quickly you need the waste gone.

Choose Skip Hire when...

  • You have a large or multi-day project, such as a renovation or building work.
  • You want to load waste at your own pace, over up to 14 days.
  • You have space for a skip - a driveway, or a public road where we can arrange a permit.
  • You are clearing heavier waste such as soil, rubble or construction materials.

Choose Rubbish Removal when...

  • Access is limited - no driveway, a skip lorry can't fit, or a permit is not possible.
  • You need a one-off, same-day clearance rather than an ongoing skip.
  • Our cage van handles it: 1 tonne loading capacity, or up to 5 tonnes with the large cage.
  • It is a wait-and-load service - your waste is loaded within a standard 30-minute window, so please have it ready and accessible.

Not sure which is right for you? Get in touch and we will point you to the most cost-effective option.

The mix of established residential streets, period property and local business activity keeps demand for responsible waste disposal steady. B&K provides skip hire and rubbish removal to Hampton residents and businesses, handling the permit, the delivery and the recycling.

Hampton Skip Hire FAQs

Skip hire prices in Hampton start from £337.50 + VAT (£405.00 inc. VAT) for an 8-yard skip. A 12-yard skip starts from £417.50 + VAT (£501.00 inc. VAT) and a 16-yard skip from £467.50 + VAT (£561.00 inc. VAT). Every price includes delivery, collection and responsible disposal. The final cost depends on the skip size, hire duration and whether you need a permit. See our price list or contact us for an accurate quote.
It depends on the volume of waste. An 8-yard skip holds around 6 m³ (60-70 bin bags) and suits garden clearances, renovations and heavy waste. A 12-yard skip holds around 9 m³ (80-100 bags), ideal for bulky, lighter rubbish and office clear-outs. A 16-yard skip holds around 12 m³ (120-130 bags) and is best for the largest commercial and construction clearances. If you are unsure, call us and we will recommend the right size.
The standard hire period is 14 days, which suits most domestic and commercial projects, so there is no need to rush. If you need a shorter or longer period, please discuss it with our team when booking - rental fees of £50 per skip (or £70 per roll-on roll-off container) may apply after the standard period.
Yes. If the skip is placed on a public road or council-owned land rather than on private land such as a driveway, a permit from the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames is required by law. B&K arranges the permit and paperwork for you. The council permit fee is charged separately, as it is set by the council.
Yes. If you don't have a driveway, the skip can be placed on the public road with a council permit, which we arrange for you. If a permit is not possible or space is limited, our wait and load cage van service is a practical alternative.
Yes, we offer same and next-day delivery. For same-day delivery, please order before 12pm, subject to availability. Early-afternoon enquiries are welcome and we will always do our best to help.
Our skips take most general, non-hazardous waste: household items and old furniture, garden waste such as soil and branches, and construction waste including rubble, wood and metal, as well as paper, gypsum and plastic. Certain materials are not allowed for safety and legal reasons - see the next question.
The following can't go in a skip and need specialist disposal: electrical appliances (WEEE), large batteries, gas cylinders, medical waste, asbestos, tyres, and fuel, solvents or paints. Most of these can be taken to a local recycling centre or civic amenity site. For asbestos, a licensed contractor is required - B&K does not remove asbestos.
Yes, but soil, rubble and hardcore are classed as heavy waste and are subject to the skip's weight limit. For heavy waste we usually recommend an 8-yard skip, which takes up to 8 tonnes. Please tell us in advance if you are disposing of heavy waste so we can advise on the best skip.
Our 8-yard skip takes up to 8 tonnes, while our 12-yard and 16-yard skips each take up to 7 tonnes. Larger skips are designed for bulky, lighter waste, whereas the 8-yard skip is well suited to heavier materials such as soil and rubble.
After collection, your waste is taken to our own waste transfer station, where it is sorted and processed. Around 98% of everything we receive is recycled, diverting it from landfill in line with our environmental responsibilities as a registered waste carrier.
Our headline prices are shown excluding VAT, with VAT added at the standard rate. For example, an 8-yard skip in Hampton starts from £337.50 + VAT, which is £405.00 including VAT. Delivery, collection and disposal are included in the price.
Skip hire saves you time and money compared with repeated trips to a disposal site: the skip is delivered to your address and collected when full, and one container handles anything from a small domestic clear-out to a large project. It also keeps you on the right side of your duty of care - as a waste carrier registered with the Environment Agency, B&K sorts and recycles 98% of what it receives, keeping it out of landfill.
