B&K Commercial And Domestic Rubbish Collection Enfield
Why Enfield Customers Choose B&K

- Local knowledge: the borough varies a lot, and we know it - long driveways on the Enfield Chase and Grange Park side, narrow terraced streets around Enfield Highway and Ponders End, and tight loading windows on the Town centre and Hertford Road frontages. That decides where the skip goes and which vehicle we send.
- 98% recycled: waste goes to our own transfer station, where it is sorted and processed. Around 98% of everything we receive is diverted from landfill.
- Clear pricing: skip hire in Enfield starts from £337.50 + VAT, with delivery, collection and disposal included. See our price list for the full range.
- Fast and flexible: 14-day standard hire, next-day delivery as standard and same-day delivery when you order before 12pm, subject to availability. Where a skip won't work, our wait and load service clears the site in one visit.
Skip Waste Restrictions & Guidelines
Electrical Equipment and Appliances
Electrical equipment and appliances, known as WEEE, are not allowed in our skips. The category covers computers, televisions, dishwashers, fridges and microwaves. They contain refrigerants and heavy metals that need specialist recycling and cannot be processed at a standard waste transfer station. Take them to a registered recycling centre, where they are dismantled and processed safely.
Large Batteries
Large batteries, such as the lead-acid batteries in cars or industrial equipment, are strictly prohibited. They contain corrosive acid that poses a fire risk, and if a casing splits during handling it contaminates the whole load. Take them to a specialist collection point or a garage that accepts them - small household batteries can go in the collection boxes found in most supermarkets.
Gas Cylinders
You cannot dispose of gas cylinders in our skips, whether they appear empty or full. Residual gas remains inside, creating a severe explosion risk under the pressure of waste processing machinery. Return the cylinder to the original supplier for refilling, or take it to a facility authorised to handle pressurised containers.
Medical Waste
Medical waste covers needles, syringes, biological waste and soiled dressings. It is classified as hazardous because of the risk of infection, and regulations require it to be collected by a licensed contractor using incineration or sterilisation. Unused medicines can be returned to any pharmacy.
Asbestos
Asbestos is a highly hazardous material once common in construction, now known to cause serious respiratory disease and cancer. Enfield has plenty of interwar and post-war housing where it still turns up in garage roofs, soffits and floor tiles. B&K does not remove asbestos - you must hire a licensed asbestos removal contractor who follows the containment and disposal protocols.
Tyres
Old tyres are not accepted. They are banned from landfill, hard to process in standard facilities and a fire risk, and once in a skip they cannot easily be separated from the rest of the load. Contact a tyre recovery organisation or a specialist collector, or ask your local garage - most take back old tyres for a small fee.
Fuel, Solvents, and Paints
Liquid chemicals, including fuels, solvents, oils and paints, are prohibited. They are combustible, they can cause dangerous reactions or severe burns, and they leak in transit, contaminating the rest of the load and the ground. Take them to a licensed disposal centre or check your local council's hazardous waste collection.
Choose the Right Skip Size
8 YARD SKIP
Capacity: approx. 6 m³ (around 60-70 standard bin bags)
Max load: up to 8 tonnes
Best for: home renovations, garden clearances, light commercial jobs and heavy waste such as soil, rubble and concrete.
Our most popular option, often called a builders skip - compact enough for most driveways, but built for heavy materials.
12 YARD SKIP
Capacity: approx. 9 m³ (around 80-100 standard bin bags)
Max load: up to 7 tonnes
Best for: medium commercial sites and major house clearances with bulky items such as furniture and packaging.
Fewer collections across a project, but not suitable for filling with soil or hardcore - choose the 8-yard for those.
16 YARD SKIP
Capacity: approx. 12 m³ (around 120-130 standard bin bags)
Max load: up to 7 tonnes
Best for: large volumes of light, bulky waste - packaging, wood and metal from shop-fitting and construction sites.
Our maxi skip and the largest standard option. Like the 12-yard, it is intended for lighter materials.

Skip Hire vs Rubbish Removal - Which Do You Need?
B&K offers both skip hire and rubbish removal in Enfield. The right choice depends on your project, how much space you have and how quickly you need the waste gone.
Choose Skip Hire when...
- You have a large or multi-day project, such as a renovation or building work.
- You want to load waste at your own pace, over up to 14 days.
- You have space for a skip - a driveway, or a public road where we can arrange a permit.
- You are clearing heavier waste such as soil, rubble or construction materials.
Choose Rubbish Removal when...
- Access is limited - no driveway, a skip lorry can't fit, or a permit is not possible.
- You need a one-off, same-day clearance rather than an ongoing skip.
- Our cage van handles it: 1 tonne loading capacity, or up to 5 tonnes with the large cage.
- It is a wait-and-load service - your waste is loaded within a standard 30-minute window, so please have it ready and accessible.
Not sure which is right for you? Get in touch and we will point you to the most cost-effective option.
Effortless Skip Hire Booking in Enfield
We manage the logistics so you don't have to. Tell us the address, roughly what you are clearing and where the skip should stand, and we will recommend the size and confirm the price before booking anything in.
If the skip has to go on a public highway because there is no driveway, a skip permit is required by law. Dealing with the council takes time, so our team applies on your behalf and makes sure everything complies with Enfield Council's requirements. The council fee is charged separately, as the rate is set by the council.
Where time or access is tight, our wait and load service is the alternative. The driver arrives and stays on site while the waste is loaded within a standard 30-minute window, then takes it straight away. No permit is needed, and nobody else gets the chance to fly-tip in your skip.
Our standard hire period is 14 days, so you can fill the skip at your own pace, with rental fees of £50 per skip (or £70 per roll-on roll-off container) applying only if you keep it longer. Order before 12pm for same-day delivery, subject to availability; otherwise next-day delivery is standard. The waste then goes to our own transfer station, where it is sorted and processed, and around 98% of it is recycled.

About Enfield
Enfield is a historic market town at the northern edge of London, bordering Hertfordshire and the M25. It was long associated with the Royal Small Arms Factory, and Enfield Town has since grown into a busy residential and commercial centre. In 1965 it merged with Edmonton and Southgate to form the modern London Borough of Enfield, which today combines large green spaces such as Enfield Chase and Trent Park with diverse neighbourhoods and good transport links - rail from Enfield Town and Enfield Chase, and the Piccadilly line at Oakwood, Cockfosters and Southgate on the western side of the borough.
That mix produces every kind of waste, from garden clearances on residential streets to trade waste from local businesses and ongoing regeneration work. B&K covers the whole area and knows its logistics, from the narrow terraces to the busy main roads.
