B&K Environmental Services Ltd has provided skip hire in Egham since 2004, covering the TW20 area and the wider Runnymede borough for domestic and commercial customers. We carry a full range of skip sizes, from small home clearances to construction jobs, and we know that time and budget both matter - which is why delivery is next-day as standard and same-day where a slot is free.
Our service goes beyond dropping off a container. If the skip needs to stand on a public road, we arrange the permit with Runnymede Borough Council on your behalf. Where a permit is not practical, our wait-and-load service clears the waste in a single visit without one. As an Environment Agency registered carrier we handle disposal properly and recycle around 98% of what we receive. Booking is easy through our online platform, mobile app, by phone or by email.

Why Egham Customers Choose B&K

- Local knowledge: we cover Egham regularly and know how the town varies - the driveways of the residential roads towards Englefield Green, the tighter streets around the station and the High Street, and the access constraints on the Royal Holloway side. That decides where the skip goes and which vehicle we send.
- 98% recycled: waste goes to our own transfer station, where it is sorted and processed. Around 98% of everything we receive is diverted from landfill.
- Clear pricing: skip hire in Egham starts from £337.50 + VAT, with delivery, collection and disposal included. See our price list for the full range.
- Fast and flexible: 14-day standard hire, next-day delivery as standard and same-day delivery when you order before 12pm, subject to availability. Where a skip won't work, our wait and load service clears the site in one visit.
Items Excluded from Standard Skip Hire
Electrical Equipment and Appliances
You can't place electrical equipment, known as WEEE, in our skips. This includes fridges, freezers, televisions, monitors and computers. These appliances contain refrigerants and heavy metals that require specialist recycling and cannot be processed at a standard waste transfer station. Take them to a designated recycling facility, where they are accepted free of charge.
Large Batteries
Large batteries, such as those from cars or industrial machinery, are strictly prohibited. They contain corrosive acid and lead, which pose a fire risk and a health hazard if the casing splits during transport or processing - and they contaminate the whole load. Dispose of lead-acid batteries at an authorised collection point or an automotive centre.
Gas Cylinders
Gas cylinders are extremely dangerous, even if you believe they are empty. Residual gas remains inside, creating a severe risk of explosion when the waste is compressed or processed. This applies to all types, including propane, butane and fire extinguishers. Return them to the original supplier or a specialist facility for safe depressurisation and recycling.
Medical Waste
Medical or clinical waste is biologically hazardous. This category includes needles, syringes, soiled dressings and pharmaceutical products. The risk of infection makes it illegal to transport this waste in general skips. You must use a licensed medical waste disposal service, and unused medicines can be returned to any pharmacy.
Asbestos
Asbestos is a carcinogenic material that poses severe health risks, particularly to the lungs, when fibres are inhaled. If you find asbestos during a renovation or demolition project, stop work and contact a licensed asbestos removal contractor - B&K does not remove asbestos. A licensed contractor has the equipment to handle, seal and dispose of it properly.
Tyres
Tyres are banned from landfill because they trap gas and destabilise the site, and they are a significant fire risk. Legislation requires them to be recovered and recycled at specialist plants where they are shredded and repurposed. Contact a tyre recovery organisation or your local garage - most take back old tyres for a small fee.
Fuel, Solvents, and Paints
Hazardous liquids such as fuels, solvents, oils and liquid paints are strictly prohibited. These substances are flammable and chemically reactive, they endanger our staff, and they contaminate the soil or groundwater if they leak from the skip. Take them to a household waste recycling centre with a dedicated hazardous waste section.
B&K Skip Sizes in Egham
8 YARD SKIP
Capacity: approx. 6 m³ (around 60-70 standard bin bags)
Max load: up to 8 tonnes
Best for: medium house clearances, kitchen or bathroom renovations, garden landscaping, and heavy waste such as soil, rubble and concrete.
Our most popular hire option - compact enough for most driveways, but still takes a lot of bulky waste.
12 YARD SKIP
Capacity: approx. 9 m³ (around 80-100 standard bin bags)
Max load: up to 7 tonnes
Best for: large volumes of lighter waste - shop-fitting jobs and big house clearances producing wood, metal, plastics and packaging.
Because of lorry weight limits, it is not suitable for filling with hardcore or soil - choose the 8-yard for those.
16 YARD SKIP
Capacity: approx. 12 m³ (around 120-130 standard bin bags)
Max load: up to 7 tonnes
Best for: bulky, non-compactable commercial and industrial waste - construction sites, warehouse clearances and light demolition.
Our maxi skip. Like the 12-yard, it is intended for lighter materials, and it cuts the number of collections a site needs.

Skip Hire vs Rubbish Removal - Which Do You Need?
B&K offers both skip hire and rubbish removal in Egham. The right choice depends on your project, how much space you have and how quickly you need the waste gone.
Choose Skip Hire when...
- You have a large or multi-day project, such as a renovation or building work.
- You want to load waste at your own pace, over up to 14 days.
- You have space for a skip - a driveway, or a public road where we can arrange a permit.
- You are clearing heavier waste such as soil, rubble or construction materials.
Choose Rubbish Removal when...
- Access is limited - no driveway, a skip lorry can't fit, or a permit is not possible.
- You need a one-off, same-day clearance rather than an ongoing skip.
- Our cage van handles it: 1 tonne loading capacity, or up to 5 tonnes with the large cage.
- It is a wait-and-load service - your waste is loaded within a standard 30-minute window, so please have it ready and accessible.
Not sure which is right for you? Get in touch and we will point you to the most cost-effective option.
Delivery, Permits & Collection in Egham
Tell us the address, roughly what you are clearing and where the skip should stand, and we will recommend the size and confirm the price before booking anything in. If the skip goes on your own land - a driveway, yard or private forecourt - no permit is needed. If it goes on a public road or other council-owned land, a permit from Runnymede Borough Council is required by law, and we complete the application for you. The council fee is charged separately, as the rate is set by the council.
Order before 12pm and we will aim to deliver the same working day, subject to availability; otherwise next-day delivery is standard. The hire period is 14 days, so you can fill the skip at your own pace, with rental fees of £50 per skip (or £70 per roll-on roll-off container) applying only if you keep it longer. If you finish early, call us and we will collect sooner. The waste then goes to our own transfer station, where it is sorted and processed, and around 98% of it is recycled.
