Affordable Skip Hire Ealing: Efficient Waste Management

B&K Ltd provides skip hire and rubbish removal across Ealing, with same or next-day delivery available. Skip sizes from 8 to 16 yards, prices from £295 + VAT - call +44 20 8839 3147 or book online.

Households clearing up after building work, shops and offices needing a regular collection, contractors storing waste on site - the situations that call for skip hire in Ealing are almost endless. B&K has covered them all since 2004, working across Ealing and the rest of West London from our depot in Ruislip.

Our skips take a wide range of materials, including general household waste, wood, hardcore, soil, scrap metal, paper, gypsum, garden rubbish and plastic. Book by phone, by email, through our web platform or via our mobile app, and we will confirm the price and the delivery slot before anything leaves the yard. If the skip needs to sit on a public road rather than a driveway, a permit from Ealing Council is required - we arrange it on your behalf.

Why Ealing Customers Choose B&K

local skip hire car Ealing during departure from the company seat
  • Local knowledge: Ealing sits close to our Ruislip depot, so we know the area street by street - from the low-density roads around Ealing Common to the tighter terraces of West Ealing and the commercial units off the Uxbridge Road. That decides where the skip goes and which vehicle we send.
  • 98% recycled: waste goes to our own transfer station, where it is sorted and processed. Around 98% of everything we receive is diverted from landfill.
  • Clear pricing: skip hire in Ealing starts from £295 + VAT, with delivery, collection and disposal included. See our price list for the full range, or our skip and container guide if you are still choosing a size.
  • Fast and flexible: 14-day standard hire, next-day delivery as standard and same-day delivery when you order before 12pm, subject to availability. Where a skip won't work, our wait and load service clears the site in one visit.

Prohibited Items for Skip Hire in Ealing

Electrical Equipment and Appliances

Fridges, freezers, televisions, computer monitors and microwaves are classified as WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment). They contain refrigerants, rare metals and other components that require specialist recycling and cannot be processed at a standard waste transfer station. Ealing's reuse and recycling centre accepts them free of charge.

Large Batteries

Car batteries and other large industrial batteries contain lead and acid. A knock during loading or tipping can split the casing, which contaminates the whole load and turns it into hazardous waste. Take them to a specialist collection point or a garage that accepts them.

Gas Cylinders

Full or empty gas cylinders are not permitted. They stay pressurised and can explode when crushed or heated, which is a serious risk at the transfer station and in transit. Even an empty cylinder holds residual gas. Return them to the original supplier or refill scheme.

Medical Waste

Medical and biological waste, including needles, syringes, soiled dressings and pharmaceutical waste, is hazardous and cannot go in a skip - it can spread infection if the load is handled or sorted by hand. It has to be collected by a licensed clinical waste contractor, and unused medicines can be returned to any pharmacy.

Asbestos

Asbestos is an extremely hazardous material linked to serious lung disease, and it is illegal to mix it with general rubbish. Ealing has plenty of pre-1980s housing where it still turns up in garage roofs, soffits and floor tiles. B&K does not remove asbestos - you will need a licensed asbestos removal contractor.

Tyres

Tyres are banned from landfill, are bulky and can damage sorting machinery, so they need a dedicated recycling route. Take them to a registered tyre recycling facility, or ask your local garage - most offer a take-back service for a small fee when you buy replacements.

Fuel, Solvents, and Paints

Leftover paint, solvents, fuels, oils and other chemicals are banned from our skips. They are flammable or toxic, they contaminate everything else in the load, and they pollute groundwater if they leak. Your local council runs a household hazardous waste service for these items.

Skip Hire vs Rubbish Removal - Which Do You Need?

B&K offers both skip hire and rubbish removal in Ealing. The right choice depends on your project, how much space you have and how quickly you need the waste gone.

Choose Skip Hire when...

  • You have a large or multi-day project, such as a renovation or building work.
  • You want to load waste at your own pace, over up to 14 days.
  • You have space for a skip - a driveway, or a public road where we can arrange a permit.
  • You are clearing heavier waste such as soil, rubble or construction materials.

Choose Rubbish Removal when...

  • Access is limited - no driveway, a skip lorry can't fit, or a permit is not possible.
  • You need a one-off, same-day clearance rather than an ongoing skip.
  • Our cage van handles it: 1 tonne loading capacity, or up to 5 tonnes with the large cage.
  • It is a wait-and-load service - your waste is loaded within a standard 30-minute window, so please have it ready and accessible.

Not sure which is right for you? Get in touch and we will point you to the most cost-effective option.

Delivery, Hire Period & Collection in Ealing

Ordering is straightforward. Tell us the address, roughly what you are clearing and where the skip should go, and we will recommend the size and confirm the price. If the skip stands on your own land - a driveway, yard or private forecourt - no permit is needed and we can deliver as soon as a slot is free. Order before 12pm and we will aim for the same working day, subject to availability; otherwise next-day delivery is standard.

If the skip has to go on a public road or other council-owned land in Ealing, a skip permit is required by law before delivery. We complete the paperwork and obtain the permit for you - all you need to tell us is where the container should stand. The council fee is charged separately, as the rate is set by Ealing Council.

Our standard hire period is 14 days, so you can fill the skip at your own pace. Rental fees of £50 per skip (or £70 per roll-on roll-off container) apply only if you keep it longer. When it is full, call us and we will book the collection around your schedule. The waste then goes to our own transfer station, where it is sorted and processed, and around 98% of it is recycled.

About Ealing

About seven miles west of central London, Ealing is the administrative centre of the London Borough of Ealing and covers the W5 postcode along with neighbouring W13 and W7. Long known as the Queen of the Suburbs, it has kept much of what earned it that name: low-density housing, wide tree-lined streets and large green spaces such as Ealing Common, Walpole Park and Lammas Park. It is not only residential, though - the town centre, the Uxbridge Road corridor and the industrial estates around Park Royal make it one of West London's busier commercial districts. B&K works across all of it, from single-skip domestic jobs to scheduled commercial collections.

Skip Hire Ealing FAQ

Skip hire prices in Ealing start from £295 + VAT (£354.00 inc. VAT) for an 8-yard skip. A 12-yard skip starts from £360 + VAT (£432.00 inc. VAT) and a 16-yard skip from £445 + VAT (£534.00 inc. VAT). Every price includes delivery, collection and responsible disposal. The final cost depends on the skip size, hire duration and whether you need a permit. See our price list or contact us for an accurate quote.
It depends on the volume of waste. An 8-yard skip holds around 6 m³ (60-70 bin bags) and suits garden clearances, renovations and heavy waste. A 12-yard skip holds around 9 m³ (80-100 bags), ideal for bulky, lighter rubbish and shop-fitting projects. A 16-yard skip holds around 12 m³ (120-130 bags) and is best for the largest commercial and construction clearances. If you are unsure, call us and we will recommend the right size.
The standard hire period is 14 days, which suits most domestic and commercial projects. You can fill the skip at your own pace within that time. If you need a longer duration, please arrange this with our team when booking - rental fees of £50 per skip (or £70 per roll-on roll-off container) may apply after the standard period.
Yes. If the skip is placed on a public road or council-owned land rather than on private land such as a driveway, a permit from Ealing Council is required by law. B&K arranges the permit and paperwork for you. The council permit fee is charged separately, as it is set by the council.
Yes. If you don't have a driveway, the skip can be placed on the public road with a council permit, which we arrange for you. If a permit is not possible or space is limited, our wait and load cage van service is a practical alternative.
Yes, we offer same and next-day delivery. For same-day delivery, please order before 12pm, subject to availability. Early-afternoon enquiries are welcome and we will always do our best to help.
You can put most general rubbish in our skips, including household items, garden waste, and construction debris like soil, rubble and wood, as well as scrap metal, paper, gypsum and plastic. Certain materials are not allowed for safety and legal reasons - see the next question for what can't go in a skip.
The following can't go in a skip and need specialist disposal: electrical appliances (WEEE), large batteries, gas cylinders, medical waste, asbestos, tyres, and fuel, solvents or paints. Most of these can be taken to a local recycling centre or civic amenity site. For asbestos, a licensed contractor is required.
Yes, but soil, rubble and hardcore are classed as heavy waste and are subject to the skip's weight limit. For heavy waste we usually recommend an 8-yard skip, which takes up to 8 tonnes. Please tell us in advance if you are disposing of heavy waste so we can advise on the best skip.
Our 8-yard skip takes up to 8 tonnes, while our 12-yard and 16-yard skips each take up to 7 tonnes. Larger skips are designed for bulky, lighter waste, whereas the 8-yard skip is well suited to heavier materials such as soil and rubble.
After collection, your waste is taken to our own waste transfer station, where it is sorted and processed. Around 98% of everything we receive is recycled, diverting it from landfill in line with our environmental responsibilities as a registered waste carrier.
Our headline prices are shown excluding VAT, with VAT added at the standard rate. For example, an 8-yard skip in Ealing starts from £295 + VAT, which is £354.00 including VAT. Delivery, collection and disposal are included in the price.
Skip hire is a convenient and cost-effective solution for disposing of large amounts of waste, saving you multiple trips to the tip. It also ensures your waste is disposed of legally and responsibly: as a fully licensed carrier, B&K handles the collection, sorting and appropriate recycling of the materials - we recycle 98% of what we receive.
